If the growth of natural fitness is measured in years, drugs can increase the speed of progress to months or even weeks. Whether it is circumference, strength or repair speed, their effects are very significant and fast. What is the premise of growth?
1. Genetics account for the majority. Some people do not have a high proportion of fast muscle, so there is not much room for natural growth.
2. Hormones are also related to genes, but are also affected by lifestyle. People with high androgens (testosterone) (low body fat and thick hair) will grow naturally easily, and vice versa.
The above two account for 90% of the premise of growth.
The remaining 10% is nutrition, training and rest.
If the hormone level is insufficient, no matter how much protein you eat or how long you train hard, it is unlikely to grow. This is different from losing weight. When you figure out how to grow, losing weight is as simple as playing, because growth is more about hormones than losing weight, rather than calories and nutrients.
What age to use
If you are 18 years old now and your hormone levels are normal, you may be at the best age for medication, because the possibility of conversion to female is small, recovery will be faster after stopping the medication, and your own testosterone level is enough to help you maintain the growth brought by medication. However, the testosterone level at the age of 18 should be very high (unless you have acne and waist fat at this age), and medication will not help you much. Making good use of your own endogenous testosterone may also make significant progress.
If you are over 25 years old, you can basically be sure that you can and need to consider medication. This is not just for growth or weight loss. In fact, TRT (steroid hormone therapy) is a very common thing. Even if you don’t exercise at all, testosterone will need to be supplemented after men are 25 years old due to the decline of their own endogenous secretion. Specific doses of steroid therapy are beneficial to overall health and disease prevention.
(Due to processed foods and lifestyles, modern men’s testosterone levels are only one-third of what they were during World War II, obesity rates are getting worse, and diabetes rates continue to rise.)
Unlike TRT, using steroids for growth requires a larger dose of testosterone, so you need more measures to prevent the sudden increase in testosterone from becoming feminized.
