Even if you do make a living from it, blindly using these tools will almost certainly result in “throwing good money after bad.” Of the three mistakes we’re analyzing today, the last one is practically an inevitable “pitfall.”

Misconception 1: Blindly Following a “Pure Oral” Cycle — A House of Cards Without a Testosterone Foundation

Phenomenon: Many people, due to fear of pain or psychological barriers, choose to use only oral steroids (such as Dali Bu, Kangli Long, Oxandrolone, etc.) and completely avoid injecting exogenous testosterone.

Core Issue: Lack of a foundation of exogenous testosterone.

o All exogenous anabolic steroids (whether oral or injectable) strongly suppress the body’s own testosterone production (endogenous testosterone).

o Testosterone is the body’s “basic fuel,” playing a central role in muscle growth, recovery, energy levels, mood, and more.

Serious Consequences:

o Severe hormonal imbalance: Testosterone levels in the body drop to extremely low levels or even zero, while the androgenic/anabolic environment created by other oral drugs is not equivalent to physiological testosterone.

o Comprehensive negative effects:

 Lethargy, extreme fatigue

 A precipitous decline in training performance

 Loss of libido, sexual dysfunction

Core Issue: The risk of harm multiplies, while effectiveness is not necessarily improved.

o Cumulative Toxicity: The liver, kidneys, and cardiovascular system (blood pressure, heart rate) suffer multiple severe blows. Toxicity does not simply add up; it may increase exponentially.

o Mechanism Conflicts or Redundancy: Different drugs act on the same or similar pathways; blindly stacking them:

 May result in a “double whammy”: Doubling the damage to the same organ or system.

 May interfere with each other and cancel out effects: conflicting pharmacological actions.

 Significant “diminishing returns”: The additional benefits from increasing the number of drugs and doses are negligible, but the risk of side effects rises sharply.

o Arbitrary dosing: Dose adjustments lack scientific basis; you often hear phrases like “everyone else does it this way” or “just do it.” Individual responses to drugs vary greatly, and blindly copying others carries extremely high risks.

Conclusion: Cycle design should follow the principles of “simplicity, necessity, and personalization.” It is crucial to deeply understand each drug’s mechanism of action, half-life, synergistic effects, and why it should be added at a specific point in time. Complex does not equal effective; it often doubles the risk of injury while yielding reduced or even worse results.

Misconception 3: Excessive “Anti-Estrogen” Use—Treating Estrogen as a Menace

Phenomenon: Competitors (and even coaches) generally place excessive emphasis on and overuse anti-estrogen drugs (such as anastrozole and letrozole) in an attempt to suppress estrogen to extremely low levels or even zero, with the goal of “reducing water retention,” “increasing muscle hardness,” and “preventing breast development (feminization).”

Core Issue: A severe underestimation of the physiological importance of estrogen.

o Estrogen ≠ the enemy; balance is key. The problem lies in excessively high estrogen levels, not in estrogen itself. Healthy estrogen levels are indispensable for muscle growth and overall well-being.

Dangers of excessive anti-estrogen use:

o Devastating impact on muscle-building results:

 Estrogen and androgens/testosterone work synergistically to promote muscle protein synthesis, satellite cell activation, and androgen receptor expression.

 Excessively low (or zero) estrogen levels will significantly weaken or even completely negate the muscle-building effects of steroids. Your cycle may be in vain!

o Deterioration of cardiovascular health:

 Estrogen plays a crucial protective role in maintaining vascular elasticity, regulating blood lipids (by increasing HDL “good” cholesterol), and controlling blood pressure.

 Excessive anti-estrogen activity removes this protection, exacerbating the risks of dyslipidemia, elevated blood pressure, and atherosclerosis inherent to steroid use.

o Psychological and Mental Health Catastrophe:

 Estrogen profoundly influences the balance of brain neurotransmitters (such as serotonin and dopamine).

 Extremely low estrogen levels inevitably lead to low mood, depression, anxiety, and irritability. Even extremely high testosterone levels cannot compensate for the emotional void caused by estrogen deficiency.
